ABOUT THE ARTIST

My name is Kato Vecere.  I'm a 23 year old tattoo artist, illustrator, and flow artist currently based in western Pennsylvania.​  I've been making art for as long as I can remember and doubt that I could ever stop.

In 2018 I graduated from Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School after studying visual arts for 2 years. I completed several murals for the county and won first place for my senior portfolio.

In March of 2019 I began my tattoo apprenticeship at Big Nerd Tattoos in New Brighton, PA.  I worked here for nearly 3 years and began my journey learning this incredibly complex medium.  I vended for two years at Illuxcon in Reading, PA for illustration and Meeting of the Marked in Pittsburgh, PA for tattooing.

October of 2021 led me to leave the shop and take a break from tattooing due to lack of stability and health issues.  In this two year interim I focused on illustration and building my brand/social media.  I also began writing and illustrating my webcomic 'Tightrope', and attended Illuxcon once again after a break from vending.

In November of 2023 I received an offer to tattoo at Flesh Mechanics in Monaca, PA.  I'm so excited to say I'm back in the game and cannot wait to continue learning and growing in this medium.  I thank all my past and current clients for their patience and trust, and my fellow artists and friends for their support and encouragement.  Stop by and see us to book an appointment!
